Emergency Call
The Edithvale Fire Brigade plays a vital role in promoting fire safety and prevention within the local community. The brigade delivers fire safety education through programs such as presentations in schools and community organisations and smoke detector installations. We actively engage with residents at local events, including festivals, school fetes, and our biannual open day. These events serve as opportunities to raise awareness about fire safety, strengthen community ties, and build relationships that are invaluable in emergencies. To support our operations, the brigade relies on fundraising activities, including sausage sizzles, tin shakes, and the “All Fired Up” fun run. The Edithvale Fire Station also serves as a community resource, offering meeting rooms for hire. Additionally, the brigade partners with agencies like VICSES and Life Saving Victoria to share resources and improve emergency response efforts, ensuring a more resilient and well-prepared community.
